Enys

Our house group is called Enys which means "island" in the Cornish language. We wear blue polo shirts  to symbolise the sea that surrounds Godrevy island. Our mascot is an Oyster Catcher.

Each week Enys group team up and spend time doing their paired reading. It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to spend time with each other across the classes. The younger children enjoy looking up to the good example of the older ones, and the older ones relish the opportunity to care for the younger children.

Of course, we use our House teams when we have Sports Day each year and during other whole school events. Healthy, friendly competition is an important part of learning for our children.

Our weekly awards celebrate the house teams, and our Lighthouse Keeper Award is rewarded with recognition of the house group. These are awarded points and collected for a special treat at the end of the year.
